The prestigious ceremony took place at the CAC Certification Ceremony 2025 on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai Bangkok. On the same occasion, Mr. Thammawat also participated in the launch ceremony of the “Riak Rap Rao Rong” project, under the theme “Business Integrity in Action: Building Transparent Businesses through a Whistleblowing Culture.” This initiative marks another significant step towards promoting transparency and fostering a culture of anti-corruption within the Thai business sector. The CAC was established in 2010 by leading organizations in the business sector who recognized the importance of conducting business with integrity and transparency. Its three key objectives are: 1) to create a coalition of transparent businesses free from bribery and extortion, 2) to raise the standards of operations within the private sector to effectively manage corruption risks, and 3) to collaboratively drive changes in public services towards greater efficiency and transparency. The CAC is dedicated to supporting companies in establishing policies, assessing risks, and implementing guidelines to prevent corruption. It has also developed a unique certification system for large, medium, and small enterprises, enabling them to systematically and effectively adopt operational standards that control corruption risks. Furthermore, the CAC serves as a crucial voice for the private sector on matters related to the fight against corruption on a broader scale. |
